Kenya’s 1st Periodic Report on Implementation of The Protocol to The African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on The Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol)

The Government of Kenya ratified the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights on the rights of women in Africa in 2010 and remains committed to fulfilling its obligation in order to accelerate efforts towards the promotion and protection of the rights of women and girls.
Kenya presents this progress report, that is prepared in accordance with article 62 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights. The information provided herein builds on the initial report of 2020 and demonstrates progress made on the legal, policy, judicial, administrative, and programmatic interventions for the past two years, towards the realization of the rights in the Protocol.
