Liberia Country Gender Equality Profile 2025

The Liberia Country Gender Equality Profile (CGEP) 2025 is an evidence-based analytical report commissioned by the Government of Liberia. This document was facilitated through the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MGCSP), with support from UN Women, the African Development Bank, the European Union and the Government of Sweden. It provides a comprehensive overview of the status of gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE) in Liberia. It serves as a reference document for policymakers, development partners and civil society to understand the current state of GEWE in Liberia, a country of 5.2 million people with a young population.
