UN Women Nigeria Newsletter – April–June 2026

The second edition of the 2026 UN Women Nigeria Newsletter highlights a quarter marked by strategic partnerships, institutional reform and innovation. From strengthening gender-responsive governance and supporting women’s political participation ahead of the 2027 elections to advancing women’s economic empowerment and climate resilience, the edition showcases efforts to create lasting opportunities for women and girls across Nigeria.

 

The newsletter also features progress in preventing gender-based violence, promoting the care economy and leveraging storytelling as a tool for advocacy, including the premiere of Ibukun and the People. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how collaboration, innovation and leadership are helping advance gender equality and build a more inclusive future for women and girls in Nigeria.
