Strengthening Access to Justice for Women and Girls: Kenya at CSW70 (2026)

The 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9–19 March 2026, brought together governments, development partners, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to assess global progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment. The session focused on the priority theme: “Ensuring and Strengthening Access to Justice for All Women and Girls.” The discussions recognized that access to justice is not only a fundamental human right but also a prerequisite for achieving gender equality, sustainable development, and inclusive societies.
