Transforming Communities to End Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria.

Across Nigeria, women and girls continue to face gender-based violence, harmful traditional practices, child marriage, and other forms of discrimination that limit their rights and opportunities. Through the LEAP Project, UN Women is working with traditional and religious leaders, government institutions, civil society organizations, and communities to challenge harmful social norms and promote the safety, dignity, and rights of women and girls. The stories featured in this compendium show how community-led action, stronger protection systems, and local leadership are helping prevent violence, support survivors, and drive lasting social change across the country.
