Women Count

The Women Count Programme is aimed at strengthening the capacity of both state and non-state actors to produce and use gender statistics to inform and monitor Kenya’s implementation of the gender-related commitments in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. By improving the availability, accessibility and use of high-quality gender statistics, it is anticipated that policy, advocacy and accountability efforts will better deliver on gender equality and women’s empowerment commitments as set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Beijing Platform for Action, and national obligations.
