Consultations on the Agenda 2030 in Africa

The UN Women Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa is hosting consultations on the Agenda 2030 with regional economic blocks in Africa to examine opportunities for promoting regional accountability on gender equality and women’s empowerment.  These deliberations will take place in Nairobi on Thursday 8^th and Friday 9^th December 2016. The deliberations seek to strengthen the collective efforts of operationalizing the gender equality agenda within the framework of the SDGs and the Africa Union’s Agenda 2063, find out ways to accelerate action on the gender equality agenda and to understand global, regional and national bench-marking and reporting processes and obligations for participating institutions
