CSW65 Virtual Consultation in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s Chapter of the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) convened a virtual consultation on the theme of CSW65 on 17 March 2021, to coincide with the opening of the 65th session of CSW in New York.

The virtual meeting will bring together an array of Zimbabwean women leaders and other stakeholders to discuss the CSW65 theme: moderators from AWLN Zimbabwe will focus on the theme of “Women's full and effective participation and decision-making in public life” while moderators from the UN-EU Spotlight Initiative will focus on the elimination of violence as a key driver for achieving gender equality.

The virtual consultation will result in a Status Report capturing the voices of Zimbabwean women leaders on the current state of women and girls in the country with respect to women’s leadership and participation in decision-making and violence against women and girls.
