LIBERIA'S SECOND PHASE OF THE NATIONAL ACTION PLAN ON WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY
Liberia's Second Phase of the National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (NAP WPS) (2019-2023). The NAP WPS is the result of a consultative process led by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection with technical and financial support from UN Women. It integrates lessons learned from the previous Liberian National Action Plan on 1325 and lessons learned from the Global Study on the Implementation of UNSCR 1325 that was commissioned by the Secretary-General in 2015. The NAP WPS was endorsed on 25th November 2019 at the monthly cabinet meeting presided over by the President of Liberia, George Weah.
