Assessment of gender data and capacity gaps in the national statistics system of South Sudan
The assessment identified the gender data and capacity gaps in the South Sudan National Statistical System (NSS) and will form the basis of the development of a gender statistics sector plan as part of the current development process of the National Statistical Development Strategy (NSDS) II. It provides insights into the level of gender mainstreaming in the NSS and various regular surveys and censuses, and identifies the gaps in, and ways to improve, gender statistics generation and utilization in the NSS of South Sudan. To this end, the assessment uses a desk review, stakeholder mapping, key informant interviews, observations and the outcomes of consultative workshops.
