UN Women Liberia Newsletter 2023
The newsletter highlights UN Women Liberia’s contribution to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women in the last quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023. The newsletter is intended to give readers a broad insight into UN Women’s collaborations, achievements and impact in Liberia.
The four main thematic areas we are focusing on include, Women’s political participation, leadership and gender sensitive governance systems; Women’s economic empowerment; Ending violence against women and girls; and Women, peace and security and humanitarian actions.
The newsletter is intended to give our readers a broader insight into our collaborations, activities, achievements and impact in Liberia.
We thank all our partners, including the Government of Liberia, CSOs, women’s groups, traditional leaders, women and girls in Liberia as well as our donors, the European Union, UN Peacebuilding Fund, Governments of Canada, Ireland and Sweden for providing financial resources that enabled us to transform the lives of women and girls in Liberia.
