Image

The aim of the publication is to identify and analyze laws with a discriminatory impact on women and girls in Zimbabwe and provide recommendations for repeal or revision of such laws as an important part of a broader legal reform agenda that supports the achievement of gender equality. This broader legal reform agenda and context seeks to ensure the elimination of all discriminatory legislation by 2030 in Zimbabwe as part of an international Multi stakeholder Strategy for Accelerated Action as a roadmap for the elimination of laws that discriminate against women and girls worldwide. The assessment uses the national constitution and international legal frameworks as benchmarks.
