Regional Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security for the IGAD Region
This publication aims to accelerate the implementation of the Women Peace and Security commitments across the IGAD region. It is designed to be practical, acknowledging the limited technical and financial resources available within IGAD to implement. As such, the focus remains limited to improving upon what is already in existence, tackling the regional dimension of the challenges and building on the base of gender equality that is present across the peace and security related strategies. This is an effort to activate and strengthen current commitments rather than create new ones.
