Kenya Economic Empowerment of Women through Climate-Smart Agriculture in Arid and Semi-Arid Central Areas
A collaborative project led by UN Women and FAO Kenya aims to empower women in arid regions of Kenya through climate-smart agriculture. Targeting over 2,700 farmers across three counties, the initiative seeks to increase their capacity for climate-resilient practices, boost incomes and nutrition, and strengthen their participation in agricultural policies. Aligned with national and international development goals, the project works towards a future where women are key players in building climate-resilient livelihoods.
