UN Women East and Southern Africa Knowledge Fair 2023

Accelerating Progress towards Gender Equality and Women Empowerment through Knowledge Management Knowledge Fair-UNON Complex, Nairobi-Kenya 4th to 8th December 2023

UN Women Regional Office for East and Southern Africa is undertaking a five day Knowledge Fair which is primarily a showcase of knowledge products and interventions by the regional office.

The theme for the fair is Generation and Use of Gender Knowledge for Transformative Development. The Knowledge Fair will not only enhance the visibility of UN Women as a leader on gender knowledge but will also promote dialogue on diverse thematic knowledge interventions we have undertaken as an institution in the last two years. The fair will also facilitate partnership interest from other UN agencies in the region and build potential collaboration amongst regional stakeholders with the aim of identifying further replicable knowledge interventions, adopting research, data and predictive methods, and mobilizing support and resources to accelerate, and scale effective knowledge solutions. The overall expected outcome will be the creation of a strong regional network to position UN Women as a knowledge hub on gender equality and women empowerment beyond the fair and attracting strategic partnerships within those thematic areas.
