Key Messages to the Tanzania SIGI Report
These are key messages developed from the Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI) report for Tanzania conducted in 2022. The SIGI Country Report for Tanzania unpacks and analyses gender related challenges to provide policy makers with concrete and actionable insights based on evidence and data. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar firmly believe that gender is an important dimension of development at all levels of society. Therefore, the SIGI report highlights Tanzania’s commitment to investigate and understand the factors that still constrain women’s empowerment and obstruct gender equality.
