UN Women Rwanda Special Newsletter: Highlights from Quarter 3 & Quarter 4, 2024

This newsletter highlights some of the key milestones made in advancing gender equality and women`s empowerment, including UN Women`s active participation in the Youth Connekt Africa Summit, where we championed gender-responsive innovation, provided a platform for young women and girls to showcase their innovations, and Rwanda’s historic increase in women’s representation in the Chamber of Deputies, reaffirming the country’s leadership in gender equality. Additionally, the endorsement of the national operational plan for young women and girls, focusing on HIV prevention, gender-based violence (GBV), and sexual and reproductive health (SRH), among many others.
