Call for proposals: Online Trainings for women entrepreneurs in Mali, Nigeria and Senegal

The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched a Call for Proposals in Malawi to support civil society organizations working to enhance meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes.

WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in Malawi through the following funding streams: 

Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD

To finance programmatic activities of CSOs aimed at enhancing the meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes (in line with WPHF impact area 2). 

Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD 

To reinforce the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Malawi to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact (in line with WPHF impact area.

Lot I: Impact area 1: Women lead, participate in and benefit equally from governance systems at local and national levels.

UN Women’s work in leadership and participation is informed by a transformative and rights-based approach which entails concerted and coordinated action with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that women and girls lead, participate in, and benefit equally from governance systems.

Lot II: Impact area 2: Women have equal economic opportunities and economic autonomy.

Lot III: Impact area 3: Women and girls live a life free from violence.

UN Women’s work in GBV prevention and response is informed by a transformative, rights-based, and survivor-centered approach which entails concerted and coordinated action with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that women and girls live a life free of violence and discrimination.

N.B: Eligible proposals must include a strong situation analysis with possible causality, implementation strategies that are aligned with the principles of gender equality, leave no one behind and human rights, a detailed account of activities to be implemented to reach the stated outcomes and impact areas as well as the Results and Resources Framework.
